Emmys 2024 Poll: Who Should Win for Supporting Actress in a Drama Series?
This year’s Emmy nominees for Supporting Actress in a Drama Series are a mix of former winners and first-time nominees — and if you’re on The Morning Show or The Crown, there’s a pretty good chance you’re nominated.
Those two shows represent six of the seven nominees in this category, which is becoming a pattern lately: Last year, The White Lotus grabbed five of the eight slots, including one for winner Jennifer Coolidge. The Crown’s Elizabeth Debicki is the only repeat nominee from last year, back again for her work as Princess Diana in the sixth and final season. She’s joined by co-star Lesley Manville, earning her first career Emmy nomination for playing Queen Elizabeth’s mercurial sister Princess Margaret.

Apple TV+’s The Morning Show, meanwhile, nabbed a whopping four nominations in this category, with Greta Lee, Nicole Beharie and Karen Pittman all earning their first career nods. Their co-star Holland Taylor, though, has been here before, celebrating her ninth Emmy nomination, including a win in this category in 1999 for The Practice. The other former winner here is Christine Baranski, who’s up for playing socialite Agnes on HBO’s The Gilded Age and now has 16 (!) career nominations to her credit. She hasn’t taken home the prize, though, since her 1995 win for Cybill.
