A cop, a chemist and a drug lord will battle it out for Best Lead Actress in a Limited Series at this year’s Emmys. But who’s your pick to take home the prize?
The five nominees here are all industry veterans, with multiple Oscar wins and Emmy nominations among them. Two-time Oscar winner Jodie Foster earned the first Emmy nod for acting in her illustrious career for playing grizzled Alaska detective Liz Danvers in HBO’s True Detective: Night Country. Another Oscar winner, Brie Larson, is also in the mix for playing chemist-turned-TV host Elizabeth Zott in Apple TV+’s period drama Lessons in Chemistry.

Sofía Vergara is back in the Emmy race for playing Colombian drug lord Griselda Blanco in Netflix’s Griselda, after notching four nominations during her time on Modern Family. Juno Temple also earned three nods on Ted Lasso, and she’s nominated here as plucky housewife Dot Lyon on FX’s Fargo. Plus, two-time Oscar nominee Naomi Watts is enjoying her first career Emmy nod for playing socialite Babe Paley in FX’s FEUD: Capote Vs. The Swans.
