Stylist Jorden Bickham dressed Ratajkowski for the occasion. Hairdresser James Pecis styled her dark tresses in a sleek updo, while makeup artist Marcelo Gutierrez gave Ratajkowski coral blush and a nude lip.
Crystallized looks were particularly popular on the Met Gala red carpet this year, with FKA Twigs, Cara Delevingne and Kim Kardashian sporting ensembles with sparkling embellishments.
Ratajkowski attended her first Met Gala in 2015. She’s appeared at the annual ball every year since, wearing custom creations by labels like Versace, Vera Wang and Tory Burch.
The Met Gala raises funds for the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City and celebrates the Costume Institute’s annual exhibits. This year’s theme, “The Garden of Time,” nods to the “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion” exhibit, which will open to the public on Friday. The 2024 event is notably cochaired by Zendaya, Jennifer Lopez, Bad Bunny, Chris Hemsworth and Vogue editor in chief Anna Wintour.
