Elton John Is "Massively Disappointed" That He Has To Reschedule Shows After Testing Positive For COVID

Elton John has tested positive for COVID — but he's doing just fine!

The musician revealed that he recently contracted the virus while in the midst of a string of tour dates in the US.

Unfortunately, it means that Elton will have to postpone several of his upcoming shows, including two dates in Dallas.

"Hi everyone, wanted to send a message to let you know that I have contracted COVID and so have had to reschedule my shows in Dallas," Elton wrote on Instagram stories.

He continued, "It's always a massive disappointment to move shows and I'm so sorry to anyone who's been inconvenienced by this but I want to keep myself and my team safe."

Elton noted that despite the diagnosis, he is feeling fine thanks to his vaccine and booster shots.

"Fortunately, I'm fully vaccinated and boosted and my symptoms are mild so I'm fully expecting to be able to make the Arkansas shows this weekend," he shared.

Elton added, "As always, thank you for all your love and support and I can't wait to see you all soon!"
