Elizabeth Olsen Shimmers in ‘Recycled Aluminum’ Stella McCartney Minidress for ‘His Three Daughters’ Red Carpet Premiere
Elizabeth Olsen brought sparkle to the red carpet premiere of Netflix’s new film “His Three Daughters” in New York City on Thursday. The actress joined costars Natasha Lyonne and Carrie Coon.
For the occasion, Olsen opted for a selection from Stella McCartney’s fall 2024 ready-to-wear collection. The actress wore a sequin minidress made of recycled aluminum. The shift dress featured flowing short sleeves and a round neckline. Olsen also wore a pair of glittering silver earrings and completed the ensemble with black pumps.

The actress’ hair was styled with a middle part and natural waves by Jacob Rozenberg, assisted by Michaella Garfinkel. Her makeup featured a natural, clean look with a subtle pink lip by artist Gita Bass. Olsen’s look was curated by stylist Elizabeth Stewart, who’s also worked with Cate Blanchett and Viola Davis, among others.
Olsen was joined by cast members Lyonne and Coon for a few photos on the red carpet. Lyonne wore a look courtesy of Patou, curated by stylist Cristina Ehrlich, while Coon wore a black strapless dress for the “His Three Daughters” special screening.
Olsen’s sequin minidress made its runway debut during Paris Fashion Week last March. The collection featured equal shares of sparkle and glamour, along with environmentally conscious materials incorporated into the designs.
Following the show, “Eco Facts” were distributed among attendees, revealing such details as “90 percent of McCartney’s latest collection was realized with ‘responsible materials,'” per Miles Socha’s reporting for WWD.
Sustainability has been a focus of McCartney’s brand since its founding in 2001. In January 2023, McCartney reflected on her 2021 impact report, which showed the effect her brand had on the planet. “I am incredibly proud of the actions we have taken, the positive changes we have implemented and the innovations we are currently supporting, but there is so much more we can do. And we will,” McCartney said.
Directed by Azazel Jacobs, “His Three Daughters” follows a trio of estranged sisters who come together to care for their ailing father and try to mend their relationships in the process. The film hits Netflix on Sept. 20.
