Amelia Sacks is about to marry into one of Nantucket's most well-to-do families, but the perfect wedding is thrown into chaos when a dead body turns up on the beach—and all of the sudden, everyone is a suspect.
Such is the premise of The Perfect Couple, a new Netflix show starring Nicole Kidman, Dakota Fanning, Liev Schreiber, and Eve Hewson. Based on a 2018 Elin Hilderbrand novel of the same name, the murder mystery probes at the darkness lurking just below an idyllic, carefully curated facade of New England charm.

The series is adapted from a New York Times best-seller of the same name.
Elin Hilderbrand is the queen of the summer read and The Perfect Couple is no exception. It spent several weeks on the New York Times bestseller list in 2018, and based on the trailer above it seems like the show will be a faithful adaptation of the original story.

The six-episode season will be directed by Susanne Bier, who will also serve as an executive producer. Showrunner Jenna Lamia is also an executive producer, as are Hilderbrand, Shawn Levy and Josh Barry for 21 Laps Entertainment, Gail Berman and Hend Baghdady for The Jackal Group and Nicole Kidman and Per Saari for Blossom Films.
