Ed Sheeran's injury from bicycling accident might impact tour
UPDATE
Ed Sheeran has canceled several tour dates in five cities after sustaining a broken wrist and elbow following a bicycling accident.
On Tuesday, the singer took to Instagram to share the news that doctors confirmed fractures in his right wrist and left elbow. Sheeran first posted about the bicycle accident and the possibility of having to cancel shows on Monday as he awaited further medical advice. He has officially cancelled all scheduled tour dates in Taipei, Osaka, Seoul, Tokyo, and Hong Kong.
Future tour dates beyond that will be contingent on how quickly he heals. Sheeran is known for his live performances with his guitar, and thus, a broken wrist and elbow would make it very difficult to perform. He also noted in his post that he is unable to even type his own post since both of his arms have been put in a cast.
