Drake Shows Love To Dipset Amid Cam’ron, Jim Jones Feud
The Diplomats are going through it — again — with Jim Jones and Cam’ron at odds over words spilled during podcast interviews from both. One fan of the Harlem collective, however, is showing love to the crew amid their infighting.
Drake took to his Instagram Stories Tuesday (Jan. 14) night rocking a Diplomats hoodie beneath a matching Diplomats jacket, captioning the snap, “dips forever.”
The timing of the snap makes it clear that the Toronto artist hopes to remind the group of their legendary status, despite their current issues. Drake may also be showing interest due to hitting the stage with Dipset at The Apollo in their hometown of Harlem back in January of 2023. The evening found Drizzy being embraced by the Uptown icons, with the crew deeming him the “honorary fifth member” of Dipset along with Cam, Jim, Juelz Santana, and Freekey Zekey.
Dipset’s current rift stems from Jones taking offense to Cam’ron and 50 Cent discussing him hitting the stage with 50 back when he and Cam were first at odds. Jones took the revelation as Cam blaming him for the group’s dissolution, resulting in him telling both 50 and Cam to “get off my d*ck!” He also took shots at Cam’s It Is What It Is podcast co-host, Ma$e.
The “Oh Boy” artist responded during the Season 6 premiere of his aforementioned podcast, stating that Jones isn’t actually from Harlem, and that he didn’t think the “Ballin'” rapper would care about discussing something that happened decades ago. He also claimed that Jones has a tendency to “make up” with people after feuds after they “put hands on” him. Jim has since responded by teasing a song many believe will be a diss record aimed at the Dipset leader. Check out Cam and Jim’s latest replies to one another below.
