Drake Praises Zendaya for Epic 'Euphoria' Finale
Zendaya was reflecting on the success of her hit HBO show “Euphoria” as the emotional finale was set to air, and producer Drake praised the star for her hard work.
The finale of “Euphoria” aired Sunday night, and the episode did not disappoint -- but don't worry ... we won't give away too many details.
Zendaya wrote about her experience over the past eight weeks as the series became a sensation.
In her post, the actress wrote, “I have a lot to say, and I don’t know how to get it out, or even process these last 8 weeks but I’ll try. I’m so grateful for this show. For the beautiful family I’ve gained from it, for the self discovery and purpose I’ve found in it, and the people that we’ve been able to connect with and speak to through it. We spent months, hard months, pouring ourselves into something we love, and it was an honor to have done so beside so many insanely talented, extraordinary people. "
She continued, “From my brilliant cast mates, H&MU, Costume Design, Cinematographers, ADs, Producers, the whole crew, each of you have inspired me and pushed me to be better everyday. Sam, thank you for trusting me with the most honest parts of yourself and bringing Rue into my life, for both of you, I’m forever grateful. Alright I could do this forever. But you get the idea, I’m thankful for a lot. And also for all of you out there for receiving our work with an open heart. Can’t wait to do it all again!"
Drake, who executive produced the show, was quick to respond to the post with emoji hands, praising the actress.
The HBO teen drama was created by Sam Levinson and executive produced by Drake.
“Euphoria” focuses on 17-year-old Rue Bennett (Zendaya) who is fresh out of rehab and trying to finish her last year of high school. The show follows Rue’s friends and school mates including Jules (Hunter Schafer), Cassie (Sydney Sweeney), Lexi (Maude Apatow), Kate (Barbie Ferreira), Gia (Storm Reid), Algee (Chris McKay), Nate (Jacob Elordi) and Maddy (Alexa Demie).
The show was recently renewed for a second season.
The series has a following among celebrities too, as Leonardo DiCaprio recently spoke about his love for the show during the red carpet for “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood”. He told a reporter “that show is amazing”.
Zendaya enjoyed the actor's support and retweeted the clip of Leo giving the show props.
