Drake Gives 2 McDonald's Employees $100 Tips During Late Night Fast Food Run
Christmas came early for two lucky McDonald’s employees — thanks to Drake.
This week, the Canadian rapper, 32, paid a visit to one of the fast food locations in Los Angeles and gifted two female workers with $100 in cash each, PEOPLE confirmed.
The amount was initially thought to be $10,000 after a fan shared the moment on Twitter writing, “Just saw Drake in McDonald’s… crazy.”
“And he gave two female employees $10,000 each… in cash,” the fan wrote alongside a shot of Drake in the eatery.
In the shot, Drake can be seen at the counter, surrounded by bodyguards, talking to a cashier.
Drake also shared a photo from the outing on Instagram.
“M’s,” Drake captioned the photo, which shows himself smiling at the counter with a view of the famous menu in the background.
Drake’s visit to McDonald’s comes after the release of his joint track with Meek Mill titled “Going Bad” in which he raps “It’s just a lil’ 10-piece for her/Just to blow it in the mall/Doesn’t mean that we’re involved.”
It’s not clear if his $100 gift was a nod to his verse.
Nonetheless, this isn’t the first time Drake has made his love for McDonald’s known.
Following his concert at The Forum in Inglewood, California on Oct. 17, Drake treated his fans to McDonald’s at his afterparty at Poppy nightclub in West Hollywood.
At one point in the night, former Rich Kids of Beverly Hills star EJ Johnson was spotted helping himself to some McNuggets. Guests were also served french fries and cheeseburgers on trays with neon lights in the shape of McDonald’s signature golden arches.
In addition to Johnson, 26, some A-list attendees included: Pia Mia, popular vlogger Jeff Whittek, Jamie Foxx’s daughter Corrine and Sean “Diddy” Combs’ son Justin.
Drake is also no stranger to giving. In February, the former Degrassi star dropped the visual to his song “God’s Plan.”
In the video, directed by Karena Evans, Drake can be seen handing out thousands of dollars in cash to people in Florida.
He not only bought groceries for strangers but donated at least $200,000 in scholarships to students at the University of Miami.
