Drake Bell goes to visit the 'Drake & Josh' house and finds out it's gone
More than a decade after the final new episode of Drake & Josh aired on Nickelodeon, star Drake Bell revealed on Twitter over the weekend that the house used for the show’s exteriors is no more. The Encino, Calif., pad where the stepbrothers tangled with little sis Megan (played by Miranda Cosgrove) and that served as the backdrop for their misadventures over four seasons has been demolished.
Bell notified fans of the development Saturday on Twitter.

“I came to check out the Drake & Josh house, and it is gone,” he said in a clip. “All that remains is this mailbox.”
TMZ reported in December that the house had gone up for sale for $1.85 million, and real estate website Zillow noted in February that it had been sold.
In May, Bell warned everyone that something was going on with the place when a fence went up in front of it. He wasn’t happy about the development.

His former co-star, Josh Peck, had a much different reaction to the news that it appeared the house was going to be torn down or at least get a major facelift. In a video that YouTuber David Dobrick shared around the same time, Peck joked about people’s reverence for the house and suggested that Drake and Josh’s younger sister had plotted its demise. Still, he seemed pretty excited to see the place when Dobrik took him there on a surprise visit in December.

At least Drake & Josh fans can take heart in the fact that Bell and Peck appear to be friends again. That wasn’t the case in June 2017, when Bell posted on Twitter about his disappointment in not being invited to his former TV brother’s real-life wedding. “When you’re not invited to the wedding the message is clear,” he tweeted, according to E!, in posts that were later deleted. “Loyalty is key,” he added. “ALWAYS remember where you came from.”
However, the two eventually made up, and they proved it by hugging it out at the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards.

Bell confirmed to People that he and Peck were back on good terms. He even said he was up for a Drake & Josh reunion in this era of TV revivals.
“I would love to,” Bell told the magazine. “If it’s done in the right way. I don’t know if a reunion of us doing the same characters as in Drake & Josh, or different ones like in Pineapple Express. But it would definitely be fun.”
They’ll just need a new house.
