This ‘Dragon Ball Z’ Classic Clog Is Crocs’ Next Pop-Culture Smash
With a second pair of Lightning McQueen Classic Clogs coming soon, Crocs has another knockout pop culture release on the way in partnership with one of the biggest anime franchises of all-time.
The “Dragon Ball Z” x Crocs Classic Clog marks the debut effort from the two partners and gives first billing to Goku. Goku’s famous orange and blue gi forms the crux of the foam clog, as the former color decorates the upper with a pattern for the seven dragon balls. Blue is then used for the strap, which also includes a Jibbitz charm to simulate his belt tie. Goku’s personal kanji, the third symbol worn in the series, is applied to the silver rivets anchoring the straps and appears again as one of the Jibbitz to be applied at your discretion. The lot also includes the Flying Nimbus cloud, Eternal Dragon and a three-dimensional, translucent dragon ball.

While the forthcoming Classic Clog marks Crocs first foray with “Dragon Ball Z,” the company is hardly unfamiliar with anime. Last year, it released Classic Clogs with “Pokémon,” “Gundam,” and “Naruto.” In the sneaker world, Asics and Jordan Brand have both collaborated with “Naruto,” the latter through Zion Williamson’s signature line. Puma has also partnered with “One Piece,” while Asics linked with “Bleach” just last month.
A firm release date hasn’t yet been set for the “Dragon Ball Z” x Crocs Classic Clog, but it should be coming soon given that the news was broken by an early release from Asphaltgold in Germany. Pricing is set at $70.
