Domingo Makes a Big Return on ‘SNL50’ With Sabrina Carpenter, Pedro Pascal, Bad Bunny, More
Most vow renewals only happen at milestones, years into a marriage. But for the couple who found their relationship lightly home-wrecked by Marcello Hernandez’s Domingo on Saturday Night Live, it only took a few months for them to plan their do-over. Chloe Fineman and Andrew Dismukes’ Kelsey and Matthew returned during the SNL50 special with some new friends — including Sabrina Carpenter, whose character was in prison when Ariana Grande delivered that viral bridesmaid speech set to “Espresso.”
Fittingly, Carpenter used her appearance to perform a spoof of “Defying Gravity” from Wicked. “She swears she’s gonna try monogamy,” she sings with Heidi Gardner, Ego Nwodim, and Sarah Sherman. “She’s finally learned what is monogamy.” Despite Matthew’s objections, Kelsey’s friend group pivots into a spin on Taylor Swift’s “Love Story,” which recounts the bride crashing out when she realizes she really can’t be with Domingo. But as it turns out, she isn’t the only one wrestling with monogamy.

Matthew’s groomsmen — Bowen Yang, Andy Samberg, Kyle Mooney, and Beck Bennett — remix “Espresso” for their account of his bachelor trip with some help from Carpenter. During their little staycation, they reveal, Matthew became infatuated with Rinaldo, Domingo’s brother played by Pedro Pascal. “Came all this way, had to explain direct from Rinaldo,” he sings. “Matthew’s my guy, he said he’s not bi, but we did hookup though!” Derailing relationships runs in the family. A moment later, it’s revealed their third brother, Bad Bunny’s Santiago, hooked up with Kelsey’s mom.
The original sketch that introduced Domingo in October 2024 has surpassed 16 million views on YouTube. It’s follow-up, “Babymoon,” in which Domingo pops up at a baby shower for Charli XCX’s friend, sits at 5.3 million views. “Domingo: Vow Renewal” has reached more than a million views in 12 hours.
