Calling all Pogues and Kooks! Get ready for the treasure hunt of a lifetime.

On Thursday, Netflix announced "Outer Banks" season 4 will release in two five-episode parts on the streaming platform this fall. Like past seasons, the popular teen drama, created by Josh and Jonas Pate and Shannon Burke, will continue to follow a group of teenagers, aka the Pogues, who embark on various quests to find lost treasure in the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

The series stars Chase Stokes (John B.), Madelyn Cline (Sarah Cameron), Madison Bailey (Kiara), Jonathan Daviss (Pope), Rudy Pankow (JJ) and others.

When does 'Outer Banks' season 4 come out?

Netflix will release "Outer Banks" season 4 in two five-episode parts Thursday, Oct. 10, and Thursday, Nov. 7. The series is exclusively available on Netflix.

The first three seasons of the series are currently available to stream on Netflix.

What will 'Outer Banks' season 4 be about?

According to People magazine, season 4 will include an 18-month time jump that follows the Pogues as they are honored for their discovery of El Dorado, which took place at the end of season 3. The Pogues will also embark on a new adventure searching for Pirate Blackbeard's hidden treasure.

People magazine adds the characters will deal with self-doubt in the upcoming season. John B. and Sarah will also grapple with the loss of their fathers, Ward (Charles Esten) and Big John (Charles Halford).

Which cast members are returning for 'Outer Banks' season 4?

The main cast, including Stokes, Cline, Bailey, Daviss, Panko, Carlacia Grant, Austin North and Drew Starkey, will return for season 4. Fiona Palomo, who has been upgraded to a series regular, will also return. Several new actors will also join the cast, including J. Anthony Crane, Pollyanna McIntosh, Brianna Brown, Rigo Sanchez and Mia Challis.

Will there be a season 5 of 'Outer Banks'?

Netflix hasn't confirmed whether "Outer Banks" will return for a fifth season. However, the showrunners previously stated they planned for the series to run for four or five seasons.
