Dee Snider slams anti-maskers who used his song in Target stunt: 'Selfish a*******'
Dee Snider isn’t gonna take anti-maskers using his hit song as an anthem for “their moronic cause.”
This week, a video went viral of people marching through a Fort Lauderdale Target store with no masks, blasting Twisted Sister’s “We’re Not Gonna Take It.” In the clip — which has been viewed 33 million times — the group can be heard shouting, “Take your mask off!” Well, Snider has some choice words for the protestors.

“No...these selfish a******* do not have my permission or blessing to use my song for their moronic cause,” the 65-year-old rocker wrote. He added the hashtag “cutthes***.”
The group ReOpen South Florida was behind the protest as they organized a “flash mob” inside the Target at Coral Ridge Mall. They uploaded a video of the stunt on YouTube.
“In celebration of Burn Your Mask Day we decided to spread some freedom dust over the shoppers and employees of Target! #burnyourmask #freeyourface #nomask,” the caption read.
Snider isn’t the only person who took issue with the protest. According to the Sun Sentinel, Broward County fined the Target store for not enforcing the mask law. Citations were also mailed to protestors.
