Joe Jonas filed for divorce from Sophie Turner in Miami a year ago. Here’s an update
That’s a wrap — and there will be no encore.
The Joe Jonas-Sophie Turner divorce is official.
The boybander filed almost exactly a year ago in Miami-Dade County, where the exes used to live. In September 2021, they bought a lavish, $11 million waterfront mansion in the Bay Point neighborhood.
As per the docket, a local judge signed off on the case on Sept. 6, declaring the singer, 35, and actress, 28, single.
Their first wedding took place in Las Vegas in May 2019 and the second in Provence, France, a month later.
The confidential agreement irons out how their assets will be divided and lays out a parenting plan regarding daughters Willa, 4, and Delphine, 2.
The power couple was often spotted out and about during their time in the 305, seemingly happy. The “Game of Thrones” star reportedly also gave birth to their second child there.
But when they put their six bedroom, 10,000 square foot house on the market a little over a year later after relocating to the Magic City, fans had to wonder about the state of their marriage.
The sprawling home, once owned by Latin crooner Willy Chirino, eventually sold after a hip makeover in August 2023.
A month later, Jonas made his move and retained a divorce lawyer. Things got ugly on both sides quickly, with the “Joan” star — who was vilified on the Internet for drinking at a work event — accusing her estranged husband of abducting their kids.
The dust has thankfully settled now, and the two, who wed in 2019, have moved on.
Turner is apparently hot and heavy with a fellow Brit, aristocrat Peregrine Pearson, while the “Lovebug” singer has casually dated, but doesn’t appear to be with anyone serious.
Where they have chosen to coparent their kids is unclear. As per Instagram, Jonas is currently on tour in the same city as his ex — London.
On Tuesday, the Jonas Brothers hunk announced a collaboration with clothing company Scotch & Soda, with the ironic caption: “Today marks the start of a bold new era!”
