David Schwimmer is the opposite of Ross on 'Will & Grace'

David Schwimmer made his return to NBC on the season premiere of Will & Grace, and fans are pretty excited to say the least. In his first moments onscreen, Schwimmer — character name Noah — berates a man for not thanking him when he holds the door. He then meets Grace (Debra Messing), who recognizes him as the cynical Twitter celebrity the West Side Curmudgeon, which is a real account based on the character. Schwimmer plays a great curmudgeon, at one point telling Grace, “I only smile when old people and nuns fall.”

Schwimmer will appear in at least five episodes as Grace’s love interest, but this is no Ross and Rachel situation. In one of their first conversations, Noah says to Grace, “Don’t take it personally, OK? I just think people like you are ruining the city. Did you know there are now more cupcake shops than porno theaters in my neighborhood? Who wants to live in that world?!”

Though Grace and Noah were off to a rocky start, we will eventually get to see them as a couple. On Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Messing didn’t answer the question of whether or not Schwimmer is a good kisser, but she did say he has soft lips. And though we don’t know exactly how long it will last, Schwimmer and Messing sharing the screen is comedy gold.
