Dave Franco, Allison Williams, & More Cast in Fault in Our Stars Director’s New Movie
Dave Franco, Allison Williams, and more have joined the cast of Josh Boone’s new movie, Regretting You.
Regretting You is an adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s 2019 novel of the same name. The movie will be directed by Boone, who is known for helming 2014’s The Fault in Our Stars.
Who stars in Josh Boone’s new movie with Dave Franco and Allison Williams?
Per Deadline, Franco (The Disaster Artist) and Williams (Get Out) will star in Boone’s new movie alongside Mckenna Grace (Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire) and Mason Thames (Incoming).
Robert Kulzer will produce the movie for Constantin Film with Brunson Green for Harbinger Pictures, Ann Todd for Frayed Pages Media, and Flavia Viotti. Hoover, who also wrote the 2016 novel It Ends with Us, will executive produce, while the script was written by Susan McMartin.
“A shocking car wreck takes the lives of two family members, unlocking a series of secrets, lies, and regrets,” Deadline’s description of the plot reads. “The people left behind can’t move forward without a second collision, a potentially cathartic look at the past. Regretting You explores what’s left behind after a tragedy, the messiness and grief, but also the beauty of life and love.”
Production on the movie, which will be released through Paramount Pictures, is expected to begin in the spring of 2025.
Along with The Fault in Our Stars, Boone is known for making 2012’s Stuck in Love and 2020’s The New Mutants. He also worked on the scripts for 2016’s All We Had and 2018’s The Pretenders. Additionally, Boone developed 2020’s The Stand, based on the 1978 Stephen King novel of the same name, with Benjamin Cavell. He directed several episodes of the miniseries, which starred James Marsden, Owen Teague, Alexander Skarsg?rd, and more.
A release date for Regretting You has not yet been announced.
