Daredevil’s Charlie Cox Wants to ‘Do Some More Stuff’ With Spider-Man in the MCU
With Marvel’s Netflix series now officially part of the sacred timeline, Daredevil actor Charlie Cox is ready to start interacting with the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe‘s superheroes.
During a Fan Expo Chicago panel, Cox expressed excitement at The Man Without Fear being able to interact with the rest of the MCU with zero limitations. “Being in the Spider-Man movie felt like a big step just in terms of a lot of people referencing that when I meet them. I guess you can’t underestimate how much it means when these characters have [a] history in the comics,” he shared. “When we then get to collide onscreen, it really means a lot to the fans, and I get that. I feel that way now as well myself.”
The actor added that he wants to see Matt Murdock and Peter Parker cross paths again as their superhero alter egos, Daredevil and Spider-Man. “So, the Spider-Man thing is such an iconic thing; the idea of Matt Murdock and Peter Parker together is just so iconic. I hope that, in the future, we get to do some more stuff together because that really is fun,” he said. “That’s the main thing; just that those opportunities can arise.”
When did Charlie Cox’s Daredevil meet the MCU’s Spider-Man?
Following the end of Netflix’s The Defenders Saga, Marvel Studios brought Cox back as Matt Murdock for a single scene in Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021), where he serves as Peter Parker’s lawyer. While the two fan-favorite Marvel characters haven’t crossed paths since, Cox is confirmed to be voicing a variant of The Man Without Fear in the forthcoming animated series, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, which will be set in the greater MCU Multiverse.

There have also been rumors that Daredevil could appear in the untitled Spider-Man 4 as a mentor to the web-slinger, filling a role similar to the one Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) and Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) had with the young hero in Captain America: Civil War and Spider-Man: No Way Home, respectively. However, Cox’s inclusion in Spider-Man 4 remains unconfirmed by both Marvel and Sony at this time.
Cox will next be seen in Daredevil: Born Again, a continuation of Netflix’s Daredevil series that is set to premiere in March 2025 on Disney+. Joining Cox in the live-action series will be his former Daredevil co-stars Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/The Punisher, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, Ayelet Zurer as Vanessa Marianna-Fisk, and Wilson Bethel as Benjamin Poindexter/Bullseye.
MCU fans can stream all three seasons of Netflix’s Daredevil on Disney+.
