'The Daily Show' will broadcast from Milwaukee during 2024 Republican National Convention
Comedy Central's "The Daily Show" is coming to Milwaukee for the 2024 Republican National Convention.
The nightly news/comedy show announced Monday that it will continue its tradition of broadcasting from both of this year's major political party conventions: the GOP convention in Milwaukee July 15-18 and the Democratic National Convention Aug. 19-22.
"Indecision 2024" will air at 10 p.m. the nights of the convention, with a combination of commentary and ground-floor coverage. The network said it will release info on guests and tickets for the shows later.
In announcing the "Indecision" broadcasts, Comedy Central did not confirm whether longtime former host Jon Stewart, who in January rejoined "The Daily Show" on Monday nights, would be part of the coverage team at the RNC.
Comedy Central has been sending teams to cover the Democrats' and Republicans' presidential political conventions since 2000, excepting the pandemic-bound virtual gatherings in 2020.
Comedy Central appears to be the first network to confirm its in-person coverage plans for the 2024 RNC in Milwaukee.
