Cutout Dresses Were Trending at BET Awards 2024: Chloe Bailey in M?not, Tyla in Versace and More Stars Who Embraced the Look

The 2024 BET Awards red carpet on Sunday in Los Angeles featured several vibrant looks from the likes of Niecy Nash-Betts, Halle Bailey, host Taraji P. Henson and more. Cutouts, however, were the trend to watch at the red carpet event, and quite a few high-profile stars and trend-setters fashioned the style.

Tyla

Tyla fashioned a dress from Versace’s fall 2004 ready-to-wear collection, which featured rhinestone embellishments on the neckline and bodice as well as two cutouts on the bodice of the dress. She accessorized with Jared Atelier jewelry. Tyla’s look was curated by stylist Katie Qian, with whom the singer collaborated on her viral 2024 Met Gala look.

Chloe Bailey

Chloe Bailey’s M?not dress also featured the cutout trend. The singer fashioned a fitted, floor-length dress courtesy of the fashion label, featuring an allover sequin look, backless silhouette and cutout on the bodice of the sleeveless dress.

Mickey Guyton

Country singer Mickey Guyton wore a look from Cult Gaia’s spring 2024 ready-to-wear collection. The singer’s sleeveless red midi dress included gold embellishments and a single cutout on the bodice beneath Guyton’s bustline.

Ice Spice

Ice Spice’s flowing orange dress also featured a cutout. The rapper opted for an archival Versace dress from the Italian luxury fashion brand’s fall 2004 collection, which featured a ruffled skirt with a high-low effect and a cutout on the bodice of the sleeveless look. Ice Spice’s look was curated by stylist Timothy Luke Garcia.
