‘CSI: Vegas’ Stars React To Series Cancellation
The CSI franchise’s return to CBS is coming to an end as CBS on Friday opted not to renew CSI: Vegas for a fourth season.
On Saturday, CSI and CSI: Vegas star Marg Helgenberger who played Catherine Willows for 14 seasons across the original series and the followup, reflected on the cancellation.

“Each & every person involved with the making of this series brought their A game each & every day,” Helgenberger wrote on Instagram next to an on-set photo of the cast. “It was truly a pleasure & honor to work/play alongside such a fun & talented company of story tellers. Immeasurable thanks & gratitude to all for making this experience such a memorable ride. And to all the fans; we did it all for you.”
Lex Medlin, who, like Helgenberger, joined CSI: Vegas as a series regular in Season 2, posted a similar behind-the-scenes cast photo on IG with a note to fans about the cancellation.
“I am going to miss this cast and crew so very much,” said Medlin, who plays CSI Level I Beau Finado on the show. “Most of all I’ll miss Beau. He was so fun to play. Thanks all for the support. On to the next adventure.”
On Sunday, Helgenberger returned to Instagram to remind fans that “CSI: Vegas may have been cancelled, but there are still five new episodes left,” teasing the new original airing Sunday.
In addition to Helgenberger and Medlin, CSI: Vegas‘ current cast includes lead Paula Newsome, Mandeep Dhillon, Matt Lauria, Ariana Guerra and Jay Lee. Its first season featured original CSI stars William Petersen and Jorja Fox.
The series, produced by CBS Studios in association with Jerry Bruckheimer Television, is created and executive produced by Jason Tracey. Jerry Bruckheimer, Jonathan Littman, KristieAnne Reed, Anthony Zuiker, Carol Mendelsohn, Ann Donahue, Craig O’Neill, William Petersen, Cindy Chvatal, Steven H. Kram and Steven H. Blume also executive produce.
Its finale is set for May 19.
