Controversial 'Big Brother' contestant gets called out by Julie Chen and Twitter loves it
Jack Matthews was evicted from Big Brother Thursday night. And the controversial contestant was immediately confronted by host Julie Chen over some of the offensive things he said to fellow contestants.
As Jack sat with Julie for the exit interview, she played back some of the things he said to contestant Kemi Fakunle while in the house. She then asked, “In recap you called her a bitch, you called her dog poop, you didn't use the word poop, and we heard you wanted to stomp a mud hole through her chest. Watching now, what are your thoughts?”
Jack defended his comments, saying, “The stomp the mud hole comment is based on something that Sam said last season when she was frustrated.” Jack went on to say, “I do apologize for what I said, and that is very sincere. I think Kemi was and is a great person.”
Julie also challenged Jack over a rice pudding joke he made about Asian-American contestant, Isabella Wang. This time Jack stumbled through his explanation saying, “People were making different recipes, earlier in that evening, mainly Tommy and Christie, and rice pudding was spoken about in slop pudding ... and so earlier in that evening rice and slop pudding were going around, and so Tommy bringing it up in that situation made me say it.”

Even though Jack insisted, “It had nothing, absolutely nothing to do with her ethnicity whatsoever,” fans weren’t buying it. In fact, fans were so happy about Jack being evicted and confronted that #JackEvictionParty was one of the main trending subjects on Twitter.
While Jack’s time in the house is over, his time on the show still remains. Perhaps he will perfect his excuses by the next time he is on camera.
Big Brother airs Wednesdays and Thursdays at 9 p.m. and Sundays at 8 p.m. on CBS.
