Community Spotlight: True West at Parkland College

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — Twin City Theatre Company, a group local to Champaign-Urbana, will be performing two weekends at Parkland College before the month ends. The group will be putting on True West by Sam Shepard.

Cast member Nolan Rice and stage manager Chandra Galloway came on The Morning Show to give a summary of the plot, preview their performances and talk about the work that’s gone into rehearsal and preparation.

Community Spotlight: Wishes on Wheels’ 30th Poker Run

True West opens Friday night at the Parkland College Theatre’s Second Stage at 7:30 p.m. Performances will also take place Aug. 17, 23 and 24 at the same time, with matinee performances scheduled for Aug. 18 and 25 at 2 p.m.

Rice and Galloway warned that this is not a kid-friendly production.
