Clint Eastwood's daughter Francesca announces pregnancy, keeps quiet about paternity
Another grandchild will soon be making Clint Eastwood‘s day. His daughter Francesca Eastwood announced that she’s expecting her first kid.
The 24-year-old actress dropped the news Tuesday at the 2018 Environmental Media Association Awards in L.A. while onstage with her mother, Titanic actress Frances Fisher, 66. They were presenting an award together when Eastwood shared the scoop with the crowd, which included Jenna Dewan, Bill Nye, and Jaden Smith.
“I’m so excited. I’m gonna be a grandma!” Fischer beamed, according to Us Weekly.
Apparently, her half sister Morgan Eastwood, 21, whom she appeared with on the family reality show Mrs. Eastwood & Company, made the official announcement a day before posting images of Francesca Eastwood’s bump on Instagram. (Scott Eastwood, 32, is also a half sibling.)
We live in modern times, so not every pregnancy announcement needs to include a paternity announcement, but Miss Golden Globe 2013 hasn’t shared one, which hasn’t gone unnoticed. Nearly every story about her pregnancy includes a line like the one in the Page Six story: “Francesca has not revealed the identity of the baby’s father.” And if the New York Post columnists don’t know the paternity of Eastwood’s child, nobody does. They’ve been writing about her since she was a teenage “wild child,” setting Birkin Bags on fire.
Francesca Eastwood was married once — briefly — in November 2013 to Jonah Hill’s late brother Jordan Feldstein. However, the marriage was annulled after one week. Feldstein died in December.
More recently, Francesca Eastwood was linked to Westworld actor Clifton Collins Jr. — in 2016 and 2017 — and unverified internet gossip had them getting married last year. But the M.F.A. co-stars haven’t been on the red carpet since March 2017 — and earlier this year, he was photographed holding hands with Carmen Electra. She has also hit the red carpet with soap opera actor Pierson Fodé.
Although Eastwood’s keeping that part of her happy news quiet for now, we assume dear old dad is in on the secret. She is one of the acting legend’s seven children — and he already has at least two grandkids. Even though he’s always been the ultimate tough guy onscreen, his last wife, Dina, said in 2008 that Clint Eastwood, now 87, no longer cares “about how he’s portrayed on film. He likes now being seen as a grandfather, as vulnerable, as crying over his daughters.”
Well, he’ll soon have one more grandchild to love.
