The circus is in town!
The Mysterious Circus has come to Jacksonville and is located at the Cherokee County Exposition Center, 611 Loop 453.
The Mysterious Circus is owned by William Jaramillo, of Columbia, and features entertainers from a number of Latin American countries.
These artists perform high-flying stunts, dare-devil acrobatics and ride motorcycles in the Globe of Death. There are clowns and animal acts, too.

Because Jaramillo was unavailable Saturday, due to rehearsals, Brian Scott, spoke about the circus.
Scott said it was always Jaramillo’s dream to own his own circus.
“He became a clown as a little kid,” Scott said.
Scott, owner of Ellie the Elephant, said he has been affiliated with circuses his whole life but with The Mysterious Circus about six months.
“It’s family-friendly entertainment,” Scott said. “It’s rated ‘G.’ It’s for everyone.”
The big top seats 850 people. With the seats ringing the floor, spectators get an up-close view of all the acts.
Performances in Jacksonville are slated for 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, as well as 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug.18. Sunday’s 7:30 p.m. show will be performed in Spanish.
