Christopher Meloni Reveals What He and Snoop Dogg Bonded Over During Olympics Chat
Christopher Meloni is opening up about the "sweetest" story he got to share with Snoop Dogg after meeting the beloved rapper and Olympic commentator at this year's games in Paris.
Over the weekend, Meloni shared a series of snaps from the first couple of days of the competition, including a photo of the actor and the rapper snapping a selfie together, with Meloni holding the phone up at an angle as the two wrapped an arm behind each other's backs and posed in their USA-themed garb.
Fans were delighted to see "2 of the best of the best" come together, and now, Meloni is dishing on their brief conversation.
In a new interview with Today, the SVU alum spilled all the details, joking that he'd given the musician his best rap tips before telling the real story, which actually originates with his daughter Sophia, now 23, who used to work as an intern on SVU.
One day while delivering food to Ice T's dressing room, she overheard him on the phone with Snoop saying the "sweetest thing," and her dad wanted to make sure Snoop knew the impact of the candid moment.
"I heard him talking to Snoop Dogg, and he said...‘All right, I miss you, too. Yeah, I love you, too, brother," Sophia shared with her dad when she got home. "Two OGs saying they love each other."
When he had the chance to chat with the rapper, he shared the "strong and powerful and pretty cool" moment, to which Snoop replied, “That’s what it’s all about, man.”
