Christina Milian Cast in Fox’s ‘Mixtape’ Pilot (Exclusive)
Christina Milian has been cast in Fox’s new musical drama pilot “Mixtape,” from “Quantico” creator Joshua Safran, TheWrap has learned exclusively.
“Mixtape” hails from Fox and Sue Naegle’s Annapurna Television, and is described as “a romantic musical drama that looks at a disparate group of interconnected people in contemporary Los Angeles through the lens of the music that defines who they are, [capturing] the different stages of love, exploring if time can heal a broken heart and if love can withstand life’s tragedies.”
Milian will play De’Andra Green, a fast and feisty spitfire medical student and girlfriend of Dante (Jahmil French). She is bitting, but thoughtful, and in contrast to Dante, dependable.

Milian joins a cast that includes Jenna Dewan Tatum, “Revenge” alum Madeline Stowe and “La La Land” actress Callie Hernandez.
Safran, who previously worked on NBC’s musical drama “Smash,” is writer and executive producer on the hourlong drama. Ali Krug is co-executive producer and Annapurna bosses Naegle and Megan Ellison are executive producers.
Milian starred alongside John Stamos and Josh Peck on Fox’s comedy “Grandfathered,” which wrapped in 2016 after one season. She’s also appeared on Hulu’s “East Los High” and Fox’s “Family Guy.” On the film side, Milian has starred in films like “Love Don’t Cost a Thing,” “Be Cool” and “Bring It On: Fight to the Finish.”
