Christina Hall Just Made This Curious Ant Anstead Move Amid Her Joshua Hall Divorce
Christina Hall has been blasting her estranged spouse, Joshua Hall, on social media, but it looks like there is an ex she’s looking forward to reconnecting with. The 41-year-old HGTV personality followed her second ex-husband, Ant Anstead, on Instagram — and it sounds like she wants to approach him with an idea.
As of Tuesday, July 30, Christina was linked to Anstead on the social media account, according to Us Weekly. The Celebrity IOU Joyride host has not followed the home renovation star back as of Wednesday, July 31, but maybe that will change once he hears her work proposal. Now that Christina, Tarek El Moussa, and Heather Rae El Moussa are “moving forward” without Josh joining them on their upcoming show, The Flip Off, a fan offered up an idea in the comments on her July 19 Instagram post. “How awesome would it be to have Ant replace Josh on the flip off? Ratings would go through the roof. If it happens, I need some credit. Lol,” a fan wrote.

Christina loved the idea and chimed in, “LOL that would be a genius ‘ratings’ idea just sayin.'” Anstead and Christina had a rather tumultuous divorce and custody battle over their son, Hudson, 4, but it sounds like that is water under the bridge with her latest social media move. “When my divorce went through, I packed up my clothes and moved. I walked away completely and left everything [at our family home],” Anstead told People of his 2020 divorce. “I’ve realized how little I need, and what’s important. I don’t need anything but Hudson and my health.”
The British TV host is now happily in a relationship with Oscar-winning actress Renée Zellweger, who he has been dating since June 2021. The couple has been spotted in London this summer while the 55-year-old star films Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy. However, this turn of events would be a curious one if HGTV was on board with the idea. The trio is already filming the series, so it might be too late to have Anstead join the cast — and he’s also more of a car guy than a house flipper.
Christina is now fighting with Josh, not only about the end of their marriage but also for the funds he allegedly took from a bank account for their rental properties. “Josh was able to divert over $35,000 of my separate property rental income into his account,” she claimed in court papers obtained by Entertainment Tonight. “I am asking for Josh to account for the funds taken and return them to me as those funds are specifically used to pay any loans, obligations, property taxes, insurance, and maintenance for these rental properties.”
The former couple reportedly had no prenuptial agreement in place and California is a community property state which means Josh can stake a claim in any marital assets.
