Chris Brown’s Daughter Royalty Brown Gets Sporty-Chic in Rick Owens Sneakers at ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’ Premiere
Royalty Brown, the daughter of Chris Brown, opted for a pair of chic Rick Owens high-top sneakers while attending the “Mufasa: The Lion King” premiere on Monday night.
The high tops, which have become a regular casual choice amongst celebrities and influencers, were defined by their retro lace-up design and rubber outsole. And while many different iterations of the shoes are available in terms of design and colorways depending on which brand you choose, the 10-yr-old chose a black pair with white laces, which she wrapped around her ankles.

Continuing the themes of her sporty-chic look, she wore a leopard print skirt and leather jacket, which she accessorized with a small black clutch. Brown attended the event alongside her mother, Nia Guzman, who wore a pair of pointed black boots with a fur vest and black pants. She was also joined by her little sister, Sinatra LA, who wore a pair of Mary Jane shoes with pink socks.
Royalty is no stranger to a red carpet and has been her famous dad’s plus one at several industry events such as the 62nd Annual GRAMMY Awards held at Staples Center in January 2020 in Los Angeles. She wore a pair of black laced combat boots with an all-white skirt and jacket set. Her dad complemented her look wearing a pair of white dress shoes to the event. Brown and Guzman welcomed Royalty in May 2014.
Also in attendance at the “Mufasa: The Lion King” premiere was Beyoncé and Blue Ivy Carter, the latter of whom can be heard as the voice of Kiara in the upcoming film. While Blue Ivy’s shoes couldn’t be seen completely due to the extended length of her dress, Beyoncé chose a pair of pumps from Jimmy Choo for the occasion.
Stepping out in the Dahl style, the “Single Ladies” singer’s shoes featured a platform pump with a pointed toe and high heel. The enclosed back provided security, while the sides were uncovered, creating a D’Orsay silhouette. Two straps were encircled around the ankle for a layered look, and the silhouette was completed by a slender stiletto heel that ranged between 4-to-5 inches in height.
Disney’s “Mufasa: The Lion King” is directed by Barry Jenkins, and focuses on the journey of orphaned cub Mufasa, who meets a sympathetic lion named Taka, the heir to a royal bloodline. The chance meeting g sets in motion an expansive journey of an extraordinary group of misfits searching for their destinies. The film is set to release on Dec. 20 and also features performances from Aaron Pierre, Donald Glover, Mads Mikkelssen and more.
