Childish Gambino postpones Utah stop on 2024 tour, show to be rescheduled
SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — If you thought you missed Childish Gambino’s Sept. 14 concert at the Delta Center, don’t worry — the show was postponed.
On Sept. 9, the singer — whose real name is Donald Glover — posted a statement on social media, saying the remainder of the North American dates for “The New World Tour” had to be postponed.

“[H]old onto your tickets,” the statement on social media read. “ALL tickets will be honored for the upcoming dates in north america (sic) when they are rescheduled.”
The singer said he was taking a few weeks to focus on his physical health, and thanked his followers for their support and love, as well as for giving him privacy.
The Delta Center’s website informed ticket holders that the event was postponed, but no information has yet been released about when the show will be rescheduled.
It is also unclear if the opening act for the Salt Lake City show — Willow Smith, who goes by the stage name WILLOW — will remain the same for the rescheduled show.
Glover announced the tour in May 2024, around the same time he released “the finished version” of a 2020 album. Glover later released his new album “Bando Stone & The New World” in July 2024. The tour was originally scheduled to begin in Oklahoma City on Aug. 11.
While Glover postponed — and promised to reschedule — the remainder of the North American tour dates, the tour is expected to pick back up with dates in Europe, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand, according to the tour’s website.
