Charles Barkley and DeAndre Jordan Earn Assists on ‘Modern Family’
On Wednesday, NBA stars Charles Barkley and DeAndre Jordan joined the good people over at Modern Family.
In the episode, Phil was playing in a charity basketball game, which Jordan and Barkley attended because their agent’s child attends the school hosting the game. It doesn’t take long before Jordan is helping coach Phil, which for some reason puts Barkley in a mood.
Barkley challenged Jordan to a coaching bet, with Jordan coaching Phil’s team and Barkley coaching the opposition. Unfortunately for Phil, the two basketball players bet pretty high stakes, like Rolls Royce Phantoms and their Olympic Gold Medals. The pressure was too much for Phil to handle and he played terribly.
The game was ultimately called because of a power outage, and Phil never got to redeem his failure from last year’s charity game. However, Phil stuck around until everyone left, and in the dark took a game-winning shot that went in the basket.
Modern Family airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. on ABC.
