A Winter Break Up

Channing Tatum and Jessie J confirmed their split before the holidays, and People reports that Tatum was seen at LAX doing some Christmas traveling.

According to an insider, the couple claims that the "timing was off."

"He has a lot on his plate right now and wants to be the best dad possible which means he needs to be around when he isn’t traveling for his own work."

The source explained that the break up "came at a good time” for them and that so far they've "made the most of it."

The Timing Was Wrong

The classic cause of differences in priorities and busy schedules also took a toll on the former couple. Another insider told People that they're still on good terms even if they are no longer romantically linked.

"Channing and Jessie have different priorities and focuses that don’t really align. They had a fun relationship, but it just didn’t work out. Channing needs to be in L.A. a lot so he can spend time with Everly. Jessie prefers England. They are still friendly though."

Handling Things Differently

Since the split, Tatum and Jessie J seem to be handling things a little differently. Jessie J posted a cryptic message on her Instagram Story explaining that "Delayed emotions are…well…not so fun." The message didn't get specific, but it could very easily be about the new break up.

Tatum on the other hand has been seen on the celebrity dating app Raya. A source told E!News:

"[Tatum has] been on Raya for a few weeks. He would love to be dating someone and is not shy about it. He wants to have fun again and he doesn’t care if he meets someone online, a set up or just walking down the street. A friend suggested Raya and he felt like he had nothing to lose by joining."

A Lot Of Pressure

From the sound of things, the couple faced a lot of pressure from the get go. Jessie J was Tatum's first public relationship after his split from Jenna Dewan, and she previously explained to The Sunday Times that the public nature of their relationship "created such pressure."

"Chan and I got photographed before our relationship was even a thing and that created such pressure. We’ve needed time to get to know each other. We’ve just had our first holiday together, which was wonderful, but that’s all I’m saying…"
