Channing Tatum Details ‘Scary’ Experience at Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in London
Channing Tatum has opened up about the detail he found “really scary” when he attended one of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour shows this summer in London, England.
The Step Up actor spoke about his Swiftie experience during an appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers on Wednesday, Aug. 21. After late night host Seth Meyers confirmed that the actor had indeed been one of the tens of thousands of fans in attendance at one of the “Cruel Summer” songstress’ recent Wembley Stadium shows, Tatum admitted, “It’s really scary,” a comment that Meyers quickly questioned.
Tatum, who stars in the new Zo? Kravitz-directed psychological thriller Blink Twice, elaborated on his reaction to the concert’s “scary” element, explaining that he was surprised to see “how full” the stadium was. The NBC series later shared a clip from their conversation on Instagram.
“You walk out and you’re just like, ‘Oh my god, there’s just one little tiny person just standing onstage,’” Tatum said, adding that the arena was “filled to the actual brim.”
“The sheer concept in your brain doesn’t quite make sense,” he said.
Tatum, 44, told Meyers that he attended an earlier Eras Tour show with his daughter when Swift brought her hit international tour to Los Angeles, Calif., last year. Watching the performance with Everly, the 11-year-old he shares with ex-wife Jenna Dewan, was a “very different” experience due in part to the kind of dancing he felt he could not do. “I’m so grateful that she doesn’t know how I dance,” the Magic Mike star admitted.
Tatum enjoyed his most recent Eras Tour experience with Kravitz, who he has been dating since 2021. He shared a video on Instagram earlier this week showing his fiancé dancing along to Swift’s performance during their “date night” at Wembley Stadium.
“The love is real and Taylor is an absolute force!” The 21 Jump Street actor wrote to caption his Instagram post, which also included a selfie of himself with the pop star’s father, Scott Swift. “Ha and got some guitar picks I’m gonna sell for charity from big daddy Swift himself. Legend he is,” Tatum joked.
