Chanel Is Launching A New Nail Polish Formula & It’s Long-Lasting

Ladies, you may now be able to justify spending nearly $30 for a 0.4 oz. bottle of Chanel’s luxe line of nail polishes.

While the highly coveted legacy label is known for their iconic fashions and nail varnish, they are finally stepping up their repertoire to include long-wear, gel-inspired nail polish. The new formula of their signature Chanel Le Vernis lacquers will feature 15 beautiful shades including a brand new topcoat (dubbed Le Gel) and five bestselling hues (Ballerina, Particuliere, Vamp, Pirate, and Rouge Noir). As far as the new shades go, expect on-trend colors like midnight blue, elegant rose, slate gray, and party-ready gold.

“I love that the new formula not only lasts longer, but that it actually helps to repair the condition of your natural nails,” said celebrity manicurist and Chanel ambassador Ashlie Johnson. “My nails feel more protected and conditioned when wearing it; the thicker formula is more durable and super shiny. I personally feel that the new long-wear formula lasts even better with just one coat of a color shade. Since it’s a thicker formula, it goes on very smooth. And it’s very pigmented, making one coat enough most of the time. This also saves on drying time.”

Chanel’s new formula will hit stores in March and is available for preorder now for $28 each.
