Celebrities Who Dated a Lookalike of Their Ex
Let’s face it, a lot of people have a type. Some people love blonde hair, brown hair, shorter people, taller people, and more; you can’t help it. However, there are also some people who keep dating the same type of person over and over again.
Think Leonardo DiCaprio: he always dates women who are under 25, typically blonde, and rather thin. While DiCaprio is an extreme example, we have seen celebs date or marry someone, and then date someone who looks exactly like them.
Most recently, Gavin Rossdale made headlines for dating a woman named Xhoana X, who everyone believes is his ex-wife, Gwen Stefani’s lookalike. (And we have the pics to show the resemblances).
And these two men aren’t the only ones. Quite a few celebrities have dated people who almost look exactly alike.

Tarek El Moussa marriage with his Flip or Flop co-host Christina came to a crashing halt in 2018 after 10 years of marriage and their high-profile split only became more complicated when Selling Sunset star Heather Rae Young (left) entered the picture.

Neymar Jr. (Bruna Marquezine & Bruna Biancardi)
Not only do Bruna Marquezine (right) and Bruna Biancardi have the same name, they are also very difficult to tell apart!
That didn’t seem to bother Brazilian soccer star Neymar Jr. who dated Marquezine on and off from 2012 until 2018 before moving on to Biancardi in 2022. Biancardi and Neymar share two kids and have been in an on-off romance for several years.
Ethan Hawke (Uma Thurman & Ryan Shawhughes)
Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman met on the set of Gattaca, and started dating in 1996. In 1998, they married and welcomed two kids until their split in 2005, after which Hawke started dating their nanny Ryan Shawhughes.
He and Shawhughes married in 2008, and so many see the similarities between her and Thurman. Not only do Thurman and Shawhughes have blonde hair, but they have the same nose and sharp cheekbones.
Ryan Phillippe (Reese Witherspoon & Abbie Cornish)
After Ryan Phillippe and Reese Witherspoon met at a party in 1997, they got married in 1999 and were together until 2007. He then dated his Stop-Loss co-star Abbie Cornish from 2007 to 2010, with many accusing him of cheating on Witherspoon with Cornish.
But seriously, these two look so alike from the strong chin, hairline, and dirty blonde hair.
Robin Thicke (Paula Patton & April Love Geary)
For those who don’t know, Robin Thicke was married to actress Paula Patton for over a decade before their separation in 2014. They met when they were teenagers in the 1990s and got married in 2005. They divorced, allegedly due to Thicke’s infidelity, according to People.
He and April Love Geary started dating in 2014 and have been engaged in 2018.
Patton and Geary are both stunning, and they have so many similar facial features.
Lili Reinhart (Cole Sprouse & Jack Martin)
In March 2023, actor and comedian Jack Martin (left) went viral for his impersonation of Cole Sprouse’s controversial interview on the Call Her Daddy podcast.
Their similar looks also seemed to catch the attention of Sprouse’s ex Lili Reinhart who was photographed kissing Martin a month later. The couple are still going strong.
Reinhart and Sprouse dated from 2017 until 2020 after meeting on the set of Riverdale.
