Cate Blanchett and Kevin Kline's Apple TV+ Series “Disclaimer ”Sets Premiere Date
The psychological thriller, based on the book of the same name by Renée Knight, premieres with two episodes on Oct. 11

Academy Award winners Cate Blanchett and Kevin Kline will lead the highly anticipated Apple TV+ series, set to debut globally on Oct. 11 with two episodes. New episodes will be released each Friday from then through Nov. 15, 2024.
The seven-part limited series comes from Oscar winner Alfonso Cuarón, who wrote, directed, and executive produced the show.
Based on the 2015 best-selling novel of the same name by Renée Knight, the psychological thriller follows a journalist — whose career has been built on revealing transgressions — as she sees her darkest, long-buried secret exposed in a new novel that mysterious appears at her bedside.

Blanchett, 55, stars as decorated journalist Catherine Ravenscroft. Leila George, 33, will portray a younger version of the Borderlands actress' character.
Kline, 76, will play the author of the mysterious book.
Other stars in the show include Sacha Baron Cohen, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Lesley Manville, Louis Partridge, Leila George and HoYeon Jung.
"As Catherine races to uncover the writer’s true identity, she is forced to confront her past before it destroys both her own life and her relationships with her husband Robert (Baron Cohen) and their son Nicholas (Smit-McPhee),” an official synopsis the series shared with PEOPLE reads.

Grammy winner Finneas O’Connell — who has seen success with Barbie and No Time to Die — will compose for the upcoming thriller miniseries.
Disclaimer will be Kline's first-ever regular live-action television role, though the actor has regularly voiced Mr. Fischoeder on Bob's Burgers since the animated sitcom's premiere in 2011.
Blanchett last starred alongside Rose Byrne, Uzo Aduba, Elizabeth Banks, Sarah Paulson, John Slattery, Tracey Ullman and Melanie Lynskey in the 2020 series Mrs. America. The role earned her nominations for an Emmy, Golden Globe and Screen Actor's Guild Award (among others). She produced the series, and will executive produce Disclaimer as well.
