The Cast of “Halloween Kills: ”Where Are They Now?
From winning Academy Awards to starring in summer blockbusters, the cast of 'Halloween Kills' has scored some big wins since the horror flick premiered in 2021
With 13 movies in the vault, the films of the Halloween franchise are some of the most recognizable of spooky season.
Halloween Kills — which is the 12th film in the entire franchise and the second of its final (for now) trilogy — came out in 2021 and merged the newer faces of the films with the veterans. Jamie Lee Curtis, Kyle Richards and Nancy Stephens all reprised their original roles, supported by Dylan Arnold and Andi Matichak.
See what the stars of the David Gordon Green-directed genre flick have been up to since the film hit the big screen in 2021.
Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode
As the franchise star, Jamie Lee Curtis once again reprised the role of Michael Myers' sister, Laurie Strode.
Even though the now 64-year-old actress has been a part of Halloween since the first film in 1978, she shelved the role for some time and only came back after her godson, Jake Gyllenhaal, nudged her to do so in 2017.
"I was sitting in the exact place I am sitting right now when my phone rang, and it was Jake Gyllenhaal," she told SFX magazine in 2022. "I picked up the phone and he said, 'Hey Jame, my friend David Gordon Green' — who he had just worked with on the movie Stronger — 'would like to talk to you about a Halloween movie.' That was in 2017, in the summer. The last thing I thought five years ago that I would be doing would be a Halloween movie."
Needless to say, Gyllenhaal's phone call worked and Curtis has played Laurie in Halloween Returns (2018), Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends (2022).
But her reach is not just limited to the slasher franchise; the veteran actress also snagged her first Oscar at the 2023 Academy Awards for her performance in Everything Everywhere All at Once.
Dylan Arnold as Cameron Elam
Though Dylan Arnold is still in the beginning stages of his career, he has snagged some incredible roles thus far, indicating we'll be seeing more of him in the future. The 29-year-old first joined the Halloween franchise playing Cameron Elam in the 2018 version of the film.
Since then, he's shared his talents in other hits. He appeared on Netflix's Into the Dark and was one of the main characters on You season 2, alongside Penn Badgley and Victoria Pedretti.
Most recently, Arnold starred as physicist Frank Oppenheimer in Christopher Nolan's summer blockbuster, Oppenheimer.
Judy Greer as Karen Nelson
Judy Greer came into the franchise playing Laurie's estranged daughter, Karen.
Since making her debut in the horror film Stricken back in 1998, Greer has become a mainstay in Hollywood. The 48-year-old actress has been in The Wedding Planner, 13 Going on 30, 27 Dresses and a slew of other classics.
Most recently, she starred in White House Plumbers, Aporia and Eric LaRue.
Andi Matichak as Allyson Nelson
Andi Matichak played Laurie's granddaughter and Cameron's girlfriend, Allyson.
Matichak first appeared in the franchise in 2018's Halloween and once again reprised the role in Halloween Ends. Though she's still an up-and-comer, the 29-year-old actress has scored roles in Orange Is the New Black, Underground, Blue Bloods and Foxhole.
Robert Longstreet as Lonnie Elam
Though Lonnie Elam was introduced in the original series, he didn't become a major character until Halloween Kills, in which he and an angry group of fed-up Haddonfield residents plan to end Michael Myers' reign of terror once and for all.
Playing the character was Robert Longstreet, whose impressive resume includes appearances in Judas and the Black Messiah, I'm a Virgo and The Fall of the House of Usher.
Kyle Richards as Lindsey Wallace
Fun fact: Long before Kyle Richards was bringing the drama on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, she was an actress, and one of her first roles was playing Lindsey Wallace in the original Halloween back in 1978.
Though she played other roles — starring in series such as Little House on the Prairie, Down to Earth, ER, and many others — she's reprised her role as Lindsey in the last two Halloween films.
"I'm very grateful to have this opportunity to be playing Lindsey since I was 8 years old," Richards told Screen Rant in 2022 while promoting Halloween Ends. "From the very beginning to the very end. I know very few people can say that, and it's a unique position to be in. I'm very grateful."
Anthony Michael Hall as Tommy Doyle
Unlike Curtis and Richards' characters, the character of Tommy Doyle has been played by several actors. Brian Andrews played the little boy in the original 1978 film but in the '90s, a young, up-and-coming actor by the name of Paul Rudd stepped in to play the role in Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers.
Seasoned actor Anthony Michael Hall took over the character in Halloween Kills, after having been featured in projects such as Awkward, The Dark Knight, The Dead Zone, Psych and The Goldbergs.
Nancy Stephens as Marion Chambers
Another Halloween mainstay, Nancy Stephens originated the role of Marion Stephens and played the character until the franchise came to an end in 2022.
For the most part, Stephens stays out of the spotlight, though she's had small roles on Cheers, Beverly Hill 90210, Ally McBeal and Boston Legal in between playing Marion.
Nick Castle and James Jude Courtney as Michael Myers
If you ever wondered who was under that petrifying mask in the original Halloween, look no further. Film director and screenwriter Nick Castle (left) originated the role of The Shape, a.k.a. Michael Myers, and later reprised in Halloween, Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends. He has credits in The Last Starfighter (1984), The Boy Who Could Fly (1986) and Escaping New York (1981).
Castle shares credit in the final trilogy with actor and stunt double James Jude Courtney.
