The Carmichael Show Renewed at NBC

All that buzz was beneficial, because The Carmichael Show is getting another go-around at NBC.

The Jerrod Carmichael-led comedy has been renewed for a 13-episode third season, TVLine has learned.

During a conference call with reporters Sunday, NBC entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt confirmed that a disagreement with studio 20th Century Fox over “number of episodes” was holding up a renewal, but he remained hopeful that “we will resolve it soon.”

As the broadcast networks’ annual Upfronts Week nears, the fate of the last remaining “bubble” shows will be determined, as ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC and The CW get ready to reveal their schedules for the 2016-17 TV season.
