C-Murder Seemingly Addresses Monica’s “Heartbroken” Confession
Just over a week after Monica confirmed her split from C-Murder and debuted her new man, the incarcerated rapper has seemingly responded to her heartbreak confessional.
On Wednesday (Dec. 13), the 52-year-old wrote on Instagram, “I don’t know why someone feels the need to publicly bash a person that’s fighting for their life??”
He continued, “I am a black male fighting and hoping for freedom one day. Wanna speak on something?? Let’s talk about freeing us Louisiana inmates still held illegally and unconstitutionally by a racist Jim Crow law through a non-retroactive 10/2 non unanimous jury. Facts.” The New Orleans native concluded the post by requesting “all celebrities against RACISM” to sign his petition for freedom against modern day slavery.
Earlier this month, Monica revealed that C-Murder left her “heartbroken” but also requested fans to not bring up his name.
“Well, here it is in short! I got my heartbroken (again) and that’s ok!,” said the 43-year-old. “Learned yet another valuable lesson! I went through it, got over it, now I can laugh about it ! Life continues ! I feel great that through it he has representation to one day be free! Let’s move forward.”
The “Should’ve Known Better” singer quipped, “OMGGGG I haven’t said his name in 2 yrs. Can y’all follow my lead like y’all did when I brought him up. One band one sound.”
Back in 2020, Monica publicly vowed to help C-Murder as he fought to overturn his 2002 murder conviction. The pair were longtime, on-again-off-again sweethearts. However, his conviction was upheld in court and he is set to serve the remainder of his life sentence.
