Buffalo contestant finishes 2nd on ‘Jeopardy!’
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Which city is home to another contestant on “Jeopardy!”?
What is … Buffalo.
Buffalo’s Alex Cousins was a contestant on Thursday’s edition of the hit show. The writer and editor put forth a valiant effort, finishing in second place. Cousins finished with a final total of $5,199 — winning a second-place prize of $3,000.
Defending champion Bill McKinney suffered an upset loss to Ashley Chan, a publicist from Texas. Chan had a final total of $15,600.
Cousins works for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
None of the three contestants answered Final Jeopardy correctly — the answer was the classic TV show “I Dream of Jeannie” — but Chan had the game clinched before Final Jeopardy.
