Britney Spears reacts to son Jayden Federline defending Jamie Spears, family: 'Deeply saddens me'

Britney Spears' son Jayden Federline is weighing in on the pop star's allegations about their family and sharing his hopes of reconciling with his mother.
In an article written by filmmaker Daphne Barak in the Daily Mail Thursday, Federline — Spears' 15-year-old son with ex-husband Kevin Federline — said the public hasn't been fair to his grandfather Jamie Spears, who headed the pop star's controversial conservatorship for 13 years until its termination in November.
The interview, conducted by Barak, aired in part on ITV in the U.K. Friday, with more portions set to air in Australia and Germany over the weekend, Barak's assistant Linda Green said in an email to USA TODAY. Green added the interview will air in full later this year.
Spears — who has vocally renounced her father Jamie, mother Lynne, sister Jamie Lynn and her allegedly abusive conservatorship — reacted to previews of her son's interview in an Instagram post Thursday.
"I say to my son Jayden that I send all the love in the world to you everyday for the rest of my life," she wrote. "My love for my children has no boundaries and it deeply saddens me to know his outcry of saying I wasn't up to his expectations of a mother ... and maybe one day we can meet face to face and talk about this openly !!!!"
USA TODAY has reached out to Spears' attorney Mathew Rosengart for further comment.
Jayden Federline says Jamie Spears 'doesn't deserve all the hatred'
Spears has long maintained her father Jamie mistreated her while she remained under his control.
Federline, however, said Jamie "doesn't deserve all the hatred he is getting in the media."
"I love him, with all my heart," Federline added. "He was just trying to be a father."
According to Federline, his mother is "ceasing to realize how much (Jamie) cares for her."

Jayden Federline defends Lynne Spears
Federline also defended Lynne, whom the pop star has accused of supporting the conservatorship.
"Whenever I see her, she cares about me," Federline said of his grandmother, whom he calls "memaw."
"They are not bad people," he continued. "They know what we are going through now. They want our future to be what we want it to be. They just want to watch over us."

Jayden Federline on not going to Britney Spears and Sam Asghari's wedding
Federline also explained why he and his 16-year-old brother Sean Preston decided not to attend their mother's star-studded wedding to Sam Asghari in June.
"It just wasn't a good time to go. I'm not saying that I'm not happy for her," he said. "I'm really happy for them, but she didn't invite the whole family, and then, if it was just going to be me and Preston, I just don't see how that situation would have ended on good terms."
Federline said he and his brother "are very united."
"He is always looking out for me and I am looking out for him," he said. "We make sure that we are both healthy mentally."

Jayden Federline says Britney Spears wants 'attention' on Instagram
Spears has sparked concern on Instagram for posting nude photos of herself as well as lengthy tirades against her family.
To Federline, Spears' posts seem like cries for attention.
"It's almost like she has to post something on Instagram to get some attention," he said. "This has gone on for years and years and years, and there's a high chance that this will never stop, but I'm hoping for me that she will stop."
Britney Spears didn't show 'equal love' to her sons, Jayden Federline says
According to Federline, part of the strain on his relationship with Spears stems from her not treating him and his brother equally.
"I think mom has struggled giving us both attention and showing us equal love, and I don't think she showed enough to Preston, and I feel really bad for that," he said. "We've both been through so much pressure in the past that this is our safe place now, to process all the emotional trauma we've been through to heal, heal our mental state."
Federline said he believes his relationship with his mother can be fixed with "a lot of time and effort."
"I just want her to get better mentally. When she gets better, I really want to see her again," he said. He also addressed his mother directly: "I love you a lot. I hope for the best for you. Maybe one day we can sit down like this and talk again."

Britney Spears delivers message to sons
Spears shared a message to Jayden and Sean Preston on Instagram on Thursday night.
"It's horrible to see your dad be a hypocrite and say the media is horrible yet he has you talking about personal matters to them," she wrote. "I hope you can look in the mirror and remember ... you are my child and always will be ... you and your brother are both brilliant and I'm so proud to call you both mine."
She continued: "If you can honestly sit back and say with your sensible brilliant mind what memaw and paw paw did to me was fine and call them not bad people ... then yes I have failed as a mother and hopefully that's a chat for you and your father to sit face to face and try to learn WHAT'S GOOD."
Britney Spears alleged 'pure abuse' from family in video posted days prior
On Sunday, Spears posted a now-deleted video on YouTube in which she spoke about her "premeditated" conservatorship, including the isolation she said Jamie imposed.
"A woman introduced the idea (of the conservatorship) to my dad, and my mom actually helped him follow through and made it all happen," Spears said.
Spears said the main thing she remembers about the early days of her conservatorship was her father's all-encompassing authority: "He loved to control everything I did."
She added that "the main thing that hurt" about the ordeal was her family's complicity. She said she felt more support from fans in the #FreeBritney movement than from her mother and sister.
"The whole thing that made it really confusing for me was these people are on the street fighting for me, but my sister and my mother aren't doing anything," Spears said.
Lynne seemingly responded to the accusations on Instagram Sunday, writing to her daughter: "Your whole life I have tried my best to support your dreams and wishes! And also, I have tried my best to help you out of hardships! I have never and will never turn my back on you!" she captioned a photo of the two. "Your rejections to the countless times I have flown out and calls make me feel hopeless! I have tried everything."
She added that she loves her daughter but wishes for them to talk privately in person.
