Glasses Break — and Wine Is Thrown — in Epic Real Housewives of New Jersey Brawl
The Real Housewives of New Jersey ended with all-out chaos on Wednesday in a scene that made Teresa Giudice’s iconic table flip look calm.
During a dinner that the ladies were enjoying while on a girls’ trip in Mexico, tensions between former friends Margaret Josephs and Danielle Staub boiled over — with Josephs tossing a full glass of wine on Staub, and Staub retaliating by throwing an entire glass Josephs’ way.
From there it only got worse. Melissa Gorga attempted to defend Josephs, Giudice attempted to defend Staub, and seemingly out of nowhere, new Housewife Jennifer Aydin broke a glass of her own and pointed it Gorga’s way.
“You’ve got the wrong f—ing girl, I’m telling you that,” Gorga screamed, storming to fight Aydin before the camera’s cut to black with a “to be continued” message flashing on the screen.

So how did it get so bad, so fast? Well, it all appeared to start with Josephs and Aydin, who have been trading verbal blows at one another for weeks now.
Aydin’s trashed both Josephs and her mother, slamming both of them for having affairs with married men (“You see a pattern here?” she previously said. “You’re used to an environment of cheating”). Josephs, in turn, has made negative comments about Aydin’s brother’s arranged marriage, calling his Turkish bride-to-be a “mail order bride.”
On Wednesday’s episode, Josephs went even further — suggesting, during a particularly tense lunch, that Aydin’s husband sleeps in the poolhouse because he’s being unfaithful too. “You better shut the f— up with that!” Aydin yelled back, before storming away from the table.
Pressed by her costars about it, Josephs quickly admitted that she had made up the insult. “She attacked my mother and my family and I told her, ‘don’t go there,’ ” Josephs said. “I made a snide comment, I don’t know for a fact. I don’t know anything, but I obviously hit a nerve. If someone said that about [my husband] Joe would I get upset? No, because my husband doesn’t have a girlfriend.”
When Aydin returned, Josephs apologized. “I know nothing about your marriage. I said that to hurt you. I’m sorry. That was below the belt,” she said.
Aydin was happy to accept the apology and call a truce. “Those were really harsh words but it’s fine,” she said. “I said things to hurt you too. We’re just both pissed off. I’m over it. I just don’t want to talk about it anymore.”
But Staub wasn’t forgetting. Later, at that fateful dinner, she stood up for Aydin by confronting Josephs about some of the negative things she had said in the past.
Josephs attempted to dismiss Staub, calling her a liar. “No one cares about you,” Josephs said. “I owe you nothing.”
Staub wasn’t one to be dismissed though. She immediately brought up her frustrations with Josephs, including the arguments the two had at their Bimini wedding. And if that wasn’t enough, Staub dug in deeper — knocking Josephs for the fact that she’s been estranged from some of her stepchildren and their kids for years.
“I have people who I f—ing care about,” Staub said. “And you know what, I don’t see your children anywhere, so don’t ever talk about me. If you’d spend a little time with your kids, maybe they’d be there. Maybe you’d see your grandkids, and maybe — just maybe — you’d have a relationship with them.”
That was crossing a line for Josephs. “Danielle, you’re an old dog with no new tricks,” she told Staub. “You don’t even know my kids. … They are around, but they wouldn’t be around you.”
Her argument didn’t sway Staub. “Nobody knows your kids, they’re nowhere around,” Staub screamed. “They’re not around you, let me tell you. They are not around you. Get over it.”
It was then that Josephs threw her glass of wine, igniting a fury of screams. “You piece of s—,” she screamed, before storming away. “She is vile. Talks about my kids? Speaks about my grandchildren? She’s dead to me. … I’m done with this.”
Dolores Catania didn’t blame Josephs. “There’s an unwritten law in this group. You do not talk about people’s children,” she explained in a confessional. “Danielle talked about my children? She would have no teeth left. … When kids come into the picture, it’s no holds barred.”
With Josephs gone, Gorga then tried to confront Giudice about why she was standing behind Staub’s attacks. “Since when are you so anti-Margaret?” she asked.
In Giudice’s eyes, she was standing up for Aydin and Staub. But when Gorga pressed her about her reasoning, Giudice struggled to justify her actions.
“Teresa, this one’s got you going in circles,” Gorga said, pointing to Staub. “You don’t even know what you’re saying anymore. You drank the f—ing Kool-Aid.”
“You’re drinking the Kool-Aid,” Giudice shot back. “Margaret says something about [Jennifer’s] kids, she says something about Danielle. That’s f—ing strike three for me. And it’s not right. It’s not right.”
Sadly, Giudice and Gorga didn’t get any closer to a resolution by the time Aydin broke a glass and threatened Gorga. Fans will have to wait to see until next week to see how the rest of the battle plays out.
