Brand-new Italian restaurant and sports bar opens in Port Orange
A brand-new Italian eatery announced its grand opening in Port Orange this week.
Nonne’s Italian Restaurant and Sports Bar is the newest in savory, Italian selections that has made its way to Volusia County. Owner Joey Condercuri announced the new dinner spot on social media earlier this summer, teasing the eatery’s authentic menu selections, Sunday Ticket and a variety of beer and wine offerings.
The Port Orange restaurant began welcoming guests this week, after announcing its grand opening on Facebook.

According to a recent post by Condercuri, the family-oriented eatery is inspired by his late grandmother, Nonne, with a menu dedicated to carrying on her legacy through delicious, homemade pasta dishes, pizzas and more. Innovative yet classic, the Port Orange eatery will serve as an exciting new dinner spot for family and friends, a watch-party favorite for Sunday night games or a charming date night getaway for a casual bite.
“Named after my grandma, Nonne, who is no longer with us … but her recipes live on,” Condercuri said in a Facebook post. “Growing up we had Sunday family pasta with the whole family, and it was a time I remember fondly. Great food, good laughs, family, friends and good conversations! I wanted to bring that warm feeling out in our restaurant and have you feel at home with all the things I listed above.”

Immediately met with a welcoming, attentive staff, the eatery exuded an exceptionally homey, casual atmosphere with both table and bar seating, TVs lining its walls, simplistic décor and an alluring menu loaded with mouth-watering homemade selections.
What I predict will become a new go-to spot for locals, the restaurant features an open kitchen where guests can see each dish being freshly made, and offers a wide array of tempting choices, ranging from the arancini rice balls, garlic knots and various pizzas to the chicken caprese sandwich and Alfredo fettucine.
What to order at Nonne's Italian Restaurant and Sports Bar
I started out with what my waitress described as the eatery’s most popular item so far, the bruschetta toast points. A savory, baked combination of diced tomatoes, red onion, fresh mozzarella, basil, garlic, olive oil and balsamic glaze, the recommended appetizer was a hit, to say the least. Perfectly thin and crispy with a softened center, the bruschetta was packed with flavor, exceptionally fresh and finished within just a few short minutes.
Available in 12- and 16-inches, the pizza selections were also calling my name, with options including the Meat Lovers, vegetarian, Floridian and gluten-free cauliflower. I opted for a 12-inch Supreme Pizza, decorated with pepperoni, green peppers, sausage, onions, mushrooms, black olives and extra cheese. The crust was thin, yet still soft, the sauce was delicious, and the pizza’s elaborate topping combination made for a flavorful lunch to remember.
My final order was the eatery’s Huge Cheesesteak Stromboli, combining shaved ribeye, onions, mushrooms and mozzarella and served with a side of marinara sauce. The golden-brown baked selection was well-named, as it was large enough to feed a few. Although nothing will beat the Philly cheesesteak flavors of back home, it was a flavorful, filling dish that hit the spot for lunch — and dinner, later on.
The new Italian addition replaces what was formerly Riley’s Coney House, before it relocated to Daytona Beach Shores several months ago.
