Billy Porter, Ben Platt, Victoria Monét, and More to Perform at 2024 Can't Cancel Pride Benefit (Exclusive)
The fifth annual event held by iHeartMedia and Procter & Gamble recognizes the impact of music and LGBTQ+ organizations on the community in honor of Pride Month
iHeartMedia and Procter & Gamble’s Can't Cancel Pride event returns this year with Billy Porter, Ben Platt, Victoria Monét, and more big-name performers on its lineup.
The fifth annual benefit — which will also feature performances from Meghan Trainor, Allison Russell, David Archuleta, Melissa Etheridge, Orville Peck and RAYE at the iHeartRadio Theater in Los Angeles and remote locations across the U.S. — recognizes the unifying impact of both music and LGBTQ+ organizations on the community in honor of Pride Month.
Its goal this year is to raise visibility and funds for organizations like GLAAD, SAGE, The Trevor Project, the National Black Justice Coalition, CenterLink, and OutRight Action International.
“We are proud to celebrate Can’t Cancel Pride’s fifth birthday with another fantastic show that celebrates the intersection and unconditional power of music, message and inclusivity,” Gayle Troberman, chief marketing officer for iHeartMedia, said in a press release. “It’s incredible to see and hear the positive impact this franchise has on the community each year.”

Porter will host the one-hour benefit special happening on June 12, which will stream on iHeartRadio’s YouTube and Facebook pages, Hulu, Revry, and The Advocate Channel. The Pose alum and "Children" singer will also be honored with the Elton John Impact Award to salute his unwavering advocacy of civil rights for marginalized communities, LGBTQ+ rights, HIV/AIDS awareness, racial justice, gender equity, education, and the right to vote.
Over the years, Porter has both worked with and been recognized by organizations like the Elton John AIDS Foundation, Human Rights Campaign, GLAAD, Broadway Cares Equity Fights AIDS, the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation, The Brotherhood Sister Sol, Outright International, and the Matthew Shepard Foundation. He’ll join past recipients of the Impact Award, which include Elton John and Brandi Carlile.

According to Brent Miller, senior director for Global LGBTQ+ Engagement at Procter & Gamble, Can’t Cancel Pride — which was created during the COVID-9 pandemic — has previously helped to “increase much-needed visibility and raise critical funding for six non-profit organizations, all of which are dedicated to promoting and advancing LGBTQ+ equality and acceptance."
“This special event brings people together to celebrate Pride and support these incredible organizations,” he adds of the month-long celebration. “Can’t Cancel Pride means so much to me personally, and I'm tremendously proud of the impact we've been able to make over the last five years.”
Can’t Cancel Pride takes place on June 12 at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT and will be available to stream throughout Pride Month.
