'Big Brother' contestants are being pranked by a surprising twist they can't control
It's prank week on Big Brother and, on Sunday night, jaws dropped as the houseguests found out about the game's latest surprising twist, called "America's Prankster."
Even though Holly Allen is Head of Household this week, Holly is only getting half the power since America got to vote for which houseguest they want to be "America's Prankster." As the prankster, the houseguest gets to anonymously choose one of the nominees up for eviction this week. If their nominee is pulled off the block following the Power of Veto competition, they also get to choose the replacement nominee.
So, who is "America's Prankster?" Surprise surprise, it's Nick Maccarone.
Last week, Nick was involved in a dramatic, explosive fight with Christie Murphy, which ended up flipping the house vote in Christie's favor during the live eviction and Analyse Talavera was surprisingly sent to the jury house. However, now that Christie is still in the house, Nick is gunning for his new archenemy.
"I am so pumped right now. I needed this," said Nick. "Christie literally blew up my game last week, I really didn't feel like I deserved it, I guess America felt the same way." Nick also stated, "This doesn't mean that I'm not going to go up on the block this week, but this is giving my life in this game, this gives me the best chance that if I do go up, I have a chance to sit next to someone that I won't get sent home with. I'm super pumped right now. I can't even put into words how thankful I am, how grateful I am to America. It means so much to me."
In the end, Holly nominated Nick for eviction, while Nick secretly nominated Christie. So, after all that drama last week, it's actually a little satisfying that Nick and Christie are now facing off on the eviction block. We can't wait to see who is being sent to jury on Thursday and who is going to get the last laugh.
Big Brother airs Sundays and Wednesdays at 8 p.m. and Thursdays at 9 p.m. on CBS.
