Biff Wiff, ‘I Think You Should Leave’ Actor, Has Died
Biff Wiff, the beloved character actor who portrayed multiple roles on the sketch comedy series I Think You Should Leave and had a supporting role in the Oscar-winning Everything Everywhere All at Once died following a battle with cancer, his talent management company Entertainment Lab confirmed on Friday.
“It is with heavy hearts that we inform you of the passing of our beloved client and actor, Biff Wiff,” Entertainment Lab wrote in an Instagram post on Friday. “Biff was an amazing person inside and out, and his loving energy could be felt by all. We are sending our heartfelt sympathies to his family & loved ones at this time.”

The announcement included photos of Wiff along with him and Jake Johnson, whom he worked with on 2023’s Self Reliance, and I Think You Should Leave creator and star Tim Robinson. Robinson shared Entertainment Lab’s post in his Instagram stories and included an I Think You Should Leave clip from the fan-loved sketch entitled “Shirt Brothers” featuring Wiff. Wiff’s portrayal of a pretentious Santa Claus moonlighting as the star of action film, Detective Crashmore, came in at Number 19 in Rolling Stone’s ranking of every ITYSL sketch from its first two seasons.
According to a GoFundMe organized by Wiff’s friends, the actor had been hospitalized over a recurrence of cancer a couple of years ago. “It’s been a crazy journey, working so much last year, and then having these symptoms come back,” he had written in June 2023 in a GoFundMe post. According to the last update in February 2024, he was undergoing continued treatments, recovering at home, and preparing to return to set for Night Court.
Over his decades-long career, Wiff had roles in an array of television shows, from comedies and dramas to teen sitcoms. He appeared in the original Eighties sitcom Night Court, which he recently returned to for its current reboot for four episodes. He also appeared in many popular shows, including Moonlighting, Roseanne, L.A. Law, Reba, Pretty Little Liars, True Jackson VP, iCarly, The Mentalist, Desperate Housewives, Silicon Valley, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Fresh Off the Boat, Gracie and Frankie, and Dave (where he portrayed himself), among others.
