Berlin: TikTok Star Avani Gregg Joins Michiel Huisman, Ingrid Torelli in Social Media Thriller ‘Breathe Deep”
TikTok star Avani Gregg has signed on for Breathe Deep, a new feature described as a survival action-thriller set in the world of social media (but with sharks).
Ingrid Torelli (Late Night With The Devil, The End ) and Michiel Huisman (Echo 3, Game of Thrones, Rebel Moon) will co-star in the upcoming feature from writer-director James Kermack (Hi-Lo Joe, and the upcoming Art of the Jump).

Torelli plays Addy Frost, an exploration influencer who returns to the Devil’s Triangle 13 years after witnessing her father’s death in a shark attack. But when he replicates his encounter, donning a version of her dad’s vintage diving suit and descending into the deep, she finds herself in a battle for survival with a killer great white.
“Breathe Deep is an intense survival thriller with a unique directorial vision,” said producer Julien Loeffler in a statement. “The claustrophobic perspective from inside the diving suit will force the audience into feeling trapped with our lead character and experience her emotional journey.”
Principal photography on Breathe Deep is set to begin this summer on the Mediterranean Sea. Featuristic Films’ Julien Loeffler and James Kermack are producing, with Cornerstone Films handling worldwide sales, and introducing the project to buyers at the European Film Market in Berlin next week.
Kermack penned the screenplay alongside G.D. Wright, author of the crime novel After the Storm. Atomic Arts (Alien: Romulus, Nosferatu) will oversee VFX on the film with Halo Post (The Brutalist, Return to Silent Hill) on board for postproduction. The film’s technical team includes underwater cinematographer Denis Lagrange (Point Break, Dark Tide) and composer Walter Mair (Squid Game, The Bricklayer).
Cornerstone’s Berlin slate also includes Mike Leigh’s new, as-yet-untitled feature, his follow-up to Hard Truths starring Marianne Jean-Baptiste; Chris Cottam’s ballroom dance comedy The Light Fantastic starring Jeremy Irvine and Rupert Everett; and Aron Gaudet and Gita Pullapilly’s revenge thriller Wild World with Isabel May.
