Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco's romance thrives amid fans’ criticisms of their relationship!
The “Same Old Love” songstress's new boyfriend may not be the man Selenators wanted for her. However, the couple is not letting the disapproval of others stop their blossoming love story.
Gomez's beau recently proved he is unbothered by the hate with a sweet comment underneath her social media post.
Benny Blanco Shows Off His Supportive Side On Selena Gomez's Instagram Update
Gomez shared a carousel of images featuring different moments, including snaps of products from her Rare Beauty line, pictures from a photoshoot, and even a cute moment with fans outside her car. She captioned these images with an announcement, writing:
“To more moments like these… Can't wait to show you guys what we've been working on!”
Although she did not share further details about her plans, the Instagram update generated over 2 million likes, with her new man hopping on the supportive train in the comments section. Blanco shared a smiling face with heart-shaped eyes emoji, proudly doting on his girlfriend, to his critics’ dismay.
Those who disapproved of the couple's romance aired their grievances days earlier when Gomez finally addressed her relationship with Blanco. The singer confirmed her relationship with the comment “Facts” underneath a post about the duo's romance.
She also praised Blanco, claiming: “He is my absolute everything in my heart.” Unfortunately, not everyone shared her sentiments, with some fans criticizing her new beau. The mean comments forced the 31-year-old to vehemently clap back, warning haters to leave her man alone.
“Then why has he been the best thing that ever happened to me. The end,” Gomez fired back at a troll. “Lol, yeah, and he’s still better than anyone I’ve ever been with. Facts,” she responded to another before penning a lengthy retort that read:
“I don’t understand. If you actually care about me. This is my happiest. If you don’t, feel free to say whatever you want. But I will never allow your words to guide my life. Ever. I’m done. If you can’t accept me at my happiest, then don’t be in [my] life at all.”

To prove their words did not affect her, the Texas native shared a flirty picture of herself and Blanco on her Instagram Story. In the snap, the singer rested on her lover's shoulders while most of his face was cropped out of the snap.
Did Selena Gomez & Benny Blanco Take Their Relationship To New Heights?
Days after confirming the dating rumors, the “Wizards of Waverly Place” star caused a stir on social media by debuting a diamond ring on her wedding finger. Gomez sparked speculations after sharing the accessory that symbolized a deeper bond than fans expected.
The jewelry featured the letter B, seemingly representing her boyfriend's name. Its design consisted of a serpent-style band coiled perfectly around the entertainer's ring finger, with a little diamond stone occupying the lower section.
This move sent her followers wild, with many wondering if the accessory signified a possible walk down the aisle. Before meeting Blanco, the 31-year-old had dated famous faces in the industry, including The Weeknd, Zedd, Nick Jonas, and Justin Bieber, whom she dated for almost a decade and Selenators hoped would lead to a marriage.
Like her exes, Blanco, whose real name is Benjamin Joseph Levin, has made a name for himself in the music industry. His achievements include the 2017 iHeartRadio Producer of the Year Award and five BMI Songwriter of the Year Awards.
The 35-year-old's journey into music saw him sleeping on couches and hopping on calls with label owners pretending to be Jay-Z’s lawyer. Following these trials, Blanco became recognized for his talents working with megastars like Britney Spears, Ed Sheeran, Rihanna, and more.
He also owns two record labels, one named after his debut album “Friends Keep Secrets” and the other called Mad Love Records. As for his relationship with Gomez, the pair have worked on various projects, including 2019's “I Can’t Get Enough” track with J Balvin and Tainy.
Blanco has also co-written a few songs for his girlfriend, such as “Same Old Love,” “Kill Em With Kindness,” and her recently released hit song “Single Soon.” Surprisingly, Gomez's new beau is connected to her ex, Bieber, whom the label founder once described as a “good dude with a good heart and one of the best pop voices ever.”
