‘Bel-Air’ To Officially Return For Season 3 This Summer
Peacock first announced that Bel-Air would return for a third season in March 2023. Fast-forward to present day, the streamer revealed on Monday (May 20) that the series‘ new season will premiere on August 15.
In season three of the Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air reimagining, school’s out and Will (Jabari Banks) is doing things his way. He’s ready to tackle things that excite him considering he can afford the luxury of dreaming big. As he embarks on this pivot, Carlton (Olly Sholotan), begins his journey to leave his life of addiction behind and rebuild his damaged reputation by partnering with Will. The dynamic duo encounters many riveting wins by working together, but they also uncover underlying differences in their backgrounds and worldviews.
Aunt Viv (Cassandra Freeman) and Uncle Phil (Adrian Holmes) find themselves being challenged both at work and home while Hilary’s (Coco Jones) new romance with LaMarcus (Justin Cornwell) faces surprising obstacles. Meanwhile, Ashley (Akira Akbar) starts to explore what romance looks like for her ahead of her freshman year of high school and Geoffrey’s (Jimmy Akingbola) London past comes too close to new life.

Bel-Air‘s showrunner/writer/executive producer Carla Banks Waddles teased in a statement that the new season will “explore questions like, how do you prove yourself in a world that views you in limited ways? How do you reach beyond your comfort zone to create new opportunities for yourself? How does a family rebuild broken trust?” Season three will also explore “the gentrification happening in South LA.”
Earlier this year, Deadline confirmed that Vic Mensa and Alycia Pascual-Pe?a joined this season’s cast. Mensa will play Quentin and Pascual-Pe?a will play Amira. In addition to the main cast and Cornwell, Karrueche will reprise her role as Ivy along with Joivan Wade as Frederick.
